When setting up a standalone computer there are 3 main things you need to be sure of;

Equipment; Monitor, Printer, Modem, Keyboard, Mouse, Speakers, Microphone, Hard drive and RAM.

Hardware; Graphics card, Sound card and CD/DVD drive.

Software; Operating systems, Applications and Security software.
